Since its founding in 1962, Seoul International Women's Association has been committed not only to enhancing expatriate life, but also to supporting those in need in South Korea. In order to support those less fortunate, SIWA collaborates with several social service agencies, the diplomatic and business communities, and various organizations in Korea to raise awareness and money. Each year, SIWA organizes two major fundraising events: a charitable bazaar attended by over 4,000 people, and a gala and silent auction evening. In addition to the fundraising events, SIWA has a Welfare Committee to support various charities throughout South Korea.
